Electronics Design & Development

We carry out design and development of electronic equipment, both Analog (including Radio Frequency) and digital. We make use of computer 'modeling' software such as SpiceAge, in order to simulate operation of a circuit before contructing a prototype on a circuit board. This enables us to get a 'feel' of how well the cicuit will operate and also ensure that specifications are met. We also design equipment that utilises microprocessor devices such as a Peripheral Interface Controller (PIC) in order to perform complex functions.

We are often asked to design and develop specialist equipment for use on teaching and research,as it is often not possible to obtain such equipment commercially. There is also the advantage that we can design equipment such that it is 'tailored' exactly to the needs of the research or teaching project, and which can also be modified by us should the requirements change.

We are also able to assist and advise members of staff on electronics design problems and suggest a suitable way of solving it in a efficient and cost effective way.

Please contact us for more information.
