  Design & Innovation

Design and innovation are part of our everyday landscape. Products are constantly being developed and changed and design and innovation are widely believed to be the key to success for both companies and countries. Through the two courses that make up the Diploma in Design and Innovation we look how new ideas come about and what makes them succeed or fail. This includes consideration of social and environmental consequences and the many factors, which influence new product development. Real world examples and case studies are used to bring this to life. Our courses are designed to be taken and enjoyed by a wide range of students, from people with a general interest in design through to those wishing to learn more about this aspect as part of a BSc degree. All students develop a range of skills that are transferable across many different domains for example creativity and ideas generation, sketching and drawing, evaluating products, market research, and project management.
